Evening in Greece is a fundraiser for the St. Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church that also helps provide for community outreach programs St. Andrew supports. At the Prado Day Center we purchase, prepare and serve a hot breakfast to approximately 150 people each month. We support Kids ‘n Cancer with summer camp trips for children and their families who may not otherwise be able to attend a summer camp. We partner with Angel Tree to anonymously provide Christmas gifts to children of incarcerated parents. This is a time we’re also able to generously support our SLO County Food Bank with a food drive. St. Andrew reaches out to students at Cal Poly; students of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship are welcomed as part of the St. Andrew parish family. It’s kind of a home away from home for the them. OCF students also contribute to St. Andrew outreach programs with their talents. And we’ve been able to add support for the SLO Noor Foundation which provides healthcare to the uninsured. Your support helps make it possible for St. Andrew to expand support for the community we serve.
